Birds, fish, mammals, and sea turtles can get entangled in marine debris or mistake it for food. Marine debris in the water can also foul propellers and clog or damage engine intake systems. Always secure and stow your trash for disposal in port. Reduce solid waste by recycling items and selecting reusable products. Please help keep trash and debris out of the sanctuary, and help remove marine debris from the marine environment!
