Anacapa
Island is actually three small islets connected by shallow sandbars.
This group of islands is the closest to the mainland. An ecological reserve
has been established where no game can be taken. This reserve is reminiscent
of how the Channel Islands appeared years ago with large abalone, scallops,
and lobster caves teaming with dozens of animals. Lush kelp forests, colorful
fish and clear water make Anacapa Island an excellent dive destination.
