The Management Plan Review Process: Current Status

Final Management Plan / Final EIS / Final Rule

The Sanctuary’s Final Management Plan (FMP), Final Rule (regulations), and Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) are now available. The FEIS (released November 25, 2008) and Final Rule include responses to all substantive comments received during the 2006 and spring 2008 public comment periods. The new Sanctuary regulations take effect after 45 days of continuous session of Congress. Please check back for a Federal Register notice announcing the effective date of the new Sanctuary regulations.
