Delta Dives

CINMS in partnership with The Fish & Game Commission & UCSB Scientist recently completed a research cruise using the Delta Submersible. The purpose of this project was to collect base-line data for the newly established marine reserves.

 
  This footage was taken from the Delta Submersible in the Channel Islands Nat’l Marine Sanctuary, among the many underwater delights you can view a sixgill shark in its habitat. photo-Shark

Research Coordinator Sarah Fangman was on a 4 day expedition for Marine Reserves using the Delta Submersible in the proposed Marine Reserves area of the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary.
