NATURE OF CASUALTY

The British ship Port Gordon, from Androssan for Tacoma, was wrecked near Destruction Island during a heavy fog at 3:00 A.M., February 27th. The vessel stranded at high water, and, as she was a fine new ship, did not go to pieces for some time. Two of the crew were drowned and two died from exposure. Those lost were Matthew Campbell, Valentine, Lackey and Gassey. Wright
