Vanished with all hasnds somewhere off Tatoosh Island. A month later, the lighthouse keeper at Cape Beale reported that an abandoned hulk came ashore near the cape. The seas were heavy and the ship broke up that night, the wreckage drifting away. Among the wreckage on the beach was a broken quarter board with the letters" Charles B." Gibbs
