NATURE OF CASUALTY

Stranded in heavy fog. Crew got off in schooners boat. Run correct distance thinking to hear fog whistle but heard no whistle till after the schooner had been on the rocks 3/4 of hour. Came back to the wreck next morning after daylight in the steamer Bouquet. Heard no fog whistle for 15 minutes. Steamer then blew hers and got an answer. After that did not hear it for an hour or more, being 200 yards from the fog whistle. Wreck Report
