| NATURE
OF CASUALTY |
This vessel,
built in East San Pedro, was owned by the Halfhill Tuna Packing
Company of Long Beach. Licensed in the coasting trade, the vessel
burned "off Santa Barbara Island, Calif." on 30 January 1921 (MVUS
1921). No newspaper account has been located to give further details,
but the final license gives the location as "four miles off Santa
Barbara Island, Cal 1/30/21 2 persons on board, no lives lost."
