Remarks: 10-28-52. Received report that the F/V Del Rio was burning off Anacapa Island. Dispatched CG 83366 from Santa Barbara. Issued urgent marine information requesting aid of any other boat in the vicinity. The F/V's Sea Ranger and Western Monarch responded and the F/V Sea Ranger took the survivors off the boat and stood off until the boat and and transported the survivors to San Pedro. The 83366 was on the scene and also stood by the hulk to ascertain if and menace to navigation remained. Boat drifted on beach and sank between Big Anacapa Island and Little Anacapa Island. Closed incident.
